So they are good at Survival checks to fit that "survivalist" theme, but how often are those going to come up?

One of the design decisions for the Ranger Rework is putting the agency back in the hands of the player. If your game has extensive exploration and relies on Survival checks, the Ranger will be right at home. But what if it doesn't?

Resourceful is yet another feature that lets the Ranger leverage their Survival checks.

You have a first level feature that continues to provide value both from a mechanic and thematic position.

Survivalists are at home in any environment
